DescriptionDesignerThe DS 600 Sofa “non-stop” sofa was designed by Ueli Berger in 1972. Named after a mythical alpine creature, the Tatzelwurm, the DS sectional sofa is composed of narrow modular elements that can be expanded to create seemingly endless shapes. It is designed to allow for a combination of varying elements, rendering it possible to create a multitude of compositions. By always using the same module, you could technically create the longest sofa in the world, and in your space, you could create your unique design based on the needs of the environment. The sofa can be configured in countless different ways - from the iconic “S”-curve (as shown), an arc form or even a straight line - and everything in between.Material & Feature:Structure: Frame made from naturally rot resistant Merbau wood; No chemical treatmentConstructed of shaped polyurethane foam with 3 distinct dense layersElements are connected with plug-in metal connectors and zippersSolid wood legs with black stainMicrofiber Leather, Fabric, Top Grain/Aniline/Vintage Leather upholstery (C.O.M available)All materials are Flame resistant & non-toxic (Baby Friendly)Dimensions :DS 600 End Element with Armrest (left and right): Width: 10.2" x Depth: 39.4" x Height: 29.1" x Armrest Height: 22.8"DS 600 End Element without Armrest (left and right): Width: 10.2" x Depth: 39.4" x Height: 29.1" x Seat Height: 21.3"DS 600 Intermediate Seat with Back Element: Width: 9.4" x Depth: 39.4" x Height: 29.1" x Seat Height: 21.3"DS 600 - Ottoman: Width: 29.5" x Depth: 22.8" x Height: 15.7"Combination B: End Element with Armrest (left and right) x 1 + End Element without Armrest (left and right) x 1 + Intermediate Seat with Back Element x 12 + Ottoman x 1* All measurements are approximations.Ueli Berger (1937 - 2008) was born in Berne, Switzerland.
