4to. Pp. 33-37. Illustrated with several color photographs of pre-Columbian artifacts at the Met. Bound in stiff textured wraps with black lettering on front cover. Old creases to top corner leaves, now mellowed. Inscribed by Emmerich in pen. Inscription reads "For Jinny and Bagley - cordially/Andre Nov 18/70". The recipients were Virginia and Bagley Wright who were leading patrons of the Seattle Art Museum. A scarce offprint in which Emmerich takes the Met to task for neglecting indigineous art of Central America.
