The Pax 3 builds off the success of its predecessor and improves on all fronts to once again take a top spot in the vape market. Same Form - New Look At a quick glance, the new model looks almost identical to the Pax 2 other than the new polished anodized aluminum outer casing. This gives off an even sleeker look in line with its Apple-like minimalistic feel, and is available in four colors: black, silver, gold, and rose gold. One small caveat of the new material used for the exterior is that it’s more prone to not only attract fingerprints, but more seriously, scratches and marks too. With the same dimensions of the Pax 2 it’s just as portable too. In other words, you’ll have no problem keeping this out of sight until it’s ready to be put to use. Minor cosmetic changes aside, the performance of the Pax 3 has also been substantially improved. The new 3500mAh battery (up from 3000mAh) helps power the oven at twice the strength as before. Heating occurs about three times quicker now, down from 45 seconds to 15-20, making it the perfect choice for discreet on-the-go usage. Dry Herb and Wax Capability Although both the original Pax and the Pax 2 were limited to vaping dry herbs, the Pax 3 now includes a concentrate cover so that you can enjoy waxes with the same level of convenience and quality. Switching between the two is as easy as swapping in and out one of the three included oven lids. For dry herb users you get both a full capacity version and a half-sized one that’s perfect for solo use. One downside of the Pax 2 was that it needed to be packed with a full bowl to achieve proper efficiency. This was fine if you intended to pass it around with a group but could result in leftover material if you were on your own. The new smaller cover can accommodate about 0.2g of herb when packed tightly, just enough for a session on your own without worrying about waste, or worse overdoing it just to finish your material all at one sitting. The Pax 3 even comes with two types of mouthpieces. One sits flush with the main exterior, the second provides a beveled mouthpiece for those who prefer to hit on a more traditional design. Haptic Feedback and Sensing Haptic feedback is a feature that is cropping up in more and more vaporizers these days and the Pax 3 uses it to great effect. One feature carried over from the Pax 2 is the ability to sense when your lips are touching the device. If it doesn’t detect your mouth is ready to...
